The Mandalorian panel at Star Wars Celebration Chicago featured a first look at footage and a teaser for the first live-action TV series set in a Galaxy Far, Far Away.
If you weren’t actually sitting in the panel, you won’t see the footage for a while yet — the live stream took the step of cutting to black during those parts. But we did meet the principal cast and learn a little bit more about their characters — and that the series will debut Nov. 12 on the Disney+ streaming service, which the company announced would be priced at launch at $7 per month or $70 per year.
Producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni also put a call to the 501st Legion cosplay group when they needed more stormtroopers for filming — and the cast and crew were suitably impressed with the quality of their work, naturally.
