PHOENIX – The CW wasted no time filling up the 2019-20 season with familiar shows.
At the one month mark, the network announced the renewal of 10 shows for the next TV season with little surprise.
Getting the early nod:
- Supernatural
- Arrow
- The Flash
- DC’s Legends of Tomorrow
- Charmed
- ‘Legacies
- Supergirl
- Riverdale
- Black Lighting
- Dynasty
Supernatural, The CW’s longest-running show, will be back for its 15th season with the very anticipated 300th episode less than a week away on February 7.
With spinoff rumors circling, Supernatural and it’s lead stars show no sign of slowing down.

The CW loves their superheroes! Arrow (8), The Flash (6), Supergirl (5), Black Lightning (3), DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (5) will keep the weekly lineup familiar for another season. With a pilot ordered for Batwoman, led by Ruby Rose, the question is whether or not there will be room for another superhero show in the already power-packed rundown. Although there’s no end in site to the DC Universe, all eyes are on the upcoming crossover event “Crisis on Infinite Earths.” In the meantime, our superhero stars are relishing the moment.

If you’re not a believer in champagne fountains, then you don’t know Dynasty. The soap reboot stands strong in the Friday time slot and gets an early “yay” for a third season.

Riverdale, a show that the Black Hood and jingle jangle can’t slow down. The hit show is, not surprisingly, back for its fourth season.

Charmed has had quite the year with not one, but two reasons to celebrate. It didn’t take long for the reboot to earn an extension to a full season’s worth of episodes in 2018. Now the show can rest easy knowing The CW is committed to witchcraft by giving Charmed a second season.

The CW will be saying goodbye to three favorites this year with final seasons from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Jane the Virgin, and iZombie. The 10 renewals fills up all but two show slots for the upcoming prime season. The fate of late season/summer series such as The 100 and The Outpost have still yet to be announced.
