Former ‘Stargate SG-1’ stars find new places in TV universe

Christopher Judge Ben Browder

GateWorld reports that a couple of Stargate SG-1 alumni are moving forward with new television projects.

Christopher Judge (left photo), who played the strong and silent renegade Jaffa Teal’c, has a new fantasy series in the works called Rage of Angels, in which he will play the archangel Gabriel on a quest to find other supernatural creatures living on Earth. The series has been in development for some time, but should go before cameras by fall after being moved from the financially troubled MGM to Starz.

A relative latecomer to the SG-1 universe, Ben Browder (right photo) of Farscape fame will star as a college football coach in a comedy drama pilot for The CW called Hellcats. The show, which is a look into the competitive world of college cheerleaders, also stars High School Musical actress Ashley Tisdale, and is produced by Smallville star-producer Tom Welling.
