The next Stargate adventure, Origins, is just days away, and a new trailer has been released ahead of its debut.
The digital series premieres Feb. 15, only on MGM’s new Stargate Command platform.
Stargate Origins follows Catherine Langford as she embarks on an adventure into the unknown to rescue her father and save the Earth from an unimaginable darkness.
The business model is … different. For $20, you get full access to Origins and all other Stargate content (three movies and the series SG-1, Atlantis and Universe, plus behind-the-scenes features for all) through May 15 — three months. Though, I suppose it’s not really all that different from signing up for CBS All Access just to watch Star Trek: Discovery for a few months … But with the window to watch diminishing each day, you have to wonder if that flat rate will become a cut rate to get more subscribers as May 15 approaches.
