If you’ve been keeping up with Star Wars Rebels, you’ll know that the Darksaber has passed on from Darth Maul, who stole it during his brief reign on Mandalore during the Clone Wars, to Sabine Wren. But the ancient weapon is no mere collector’s item to be treasured.

As you can see in the “Trials of the Darksaber” episode clip above and slideshow below, the Ghost’s resident Mandalorian now must now reluctantly learn how to wield the Darksaber, and put it to good use uniting her stubborn and warlike people against a common foe: the Empire.

This proves challenging for Sabine, who usually prefers weapons that go BOOM …
