PHOENIX — Millennials, get ready to take a trip into the past because one of your favorite ’90s kids TV show is finding a new home. Netflix just announced Nickelodeon’s Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling will be coming to the streaming network via Twitter:
The short teaser gives fans of the show a look into Rocko’s life in the 21st century. To top it off, all of the original character voices from the ’90s will be reprising their roles as Rocko, the Australian wallaby, Heffer, the cow and Filburt, the turtle.
The animated series earned a lot of attention in its four-season run. Nick received criticism for the “adult-oriented” comedy show back in the day because viewers thought it wasn’t suitable for children.
The premise of the show focuses on the misadventures of the main three characters and the new special will premiere Aug. 9.
Fans of the original series are ecstatic to learn they will be able to share a piece of their childhood with kids of their own. Yes, it’s been that long. But, most of all, fans are just happy to see Rocko back on their screens, even if it’s 20 years later.
Will you be tuning in for all this nostalgia?
