The Picard series, set decades after Nemesis, is just one of many Star Trek projects in development for the small screen, even as the “Kelvin timeline” reboot of the original series’ characters is set to continue for reported fourth and fifth movies. Stewart’s return has been rumored for months, as has an animated project, a Wrath of Khan tie-in and a Starfleet Academy tale.
