Netflix cancels Marvel’s ‘Punisher’, ‘Jessica Jones’

By Melissa Zaremba

Jessica JonesPHOENIX – Netflix is doing some spring cleaning! Unfortunately, that means the streaming service is saying “goodbye” to a handful of series.

Arguably the most notable cancellations are for The Punisher and Jessica Jones.

The shows mark the last tie between Marvel and Netflix. Just months ago, Netflix axed three other Marvel shows: Iron FistDaredevil and Luke Cage.

Chances of seing any of them return on Disney’s new streaming service later this year are slim. Netflix’s contract basically keeps all characters, expect those from The Punisher, from appearing on another show or movie for two years.
