Muniz dives head first into the world of oils

PHOENIX – If you thought working as an actor is tough, just ask former child star Frankie Muniz about owning his own business. Muniz has found his next role, as a small business owner in Old Town Scottsdale.
“People think that acting is really easy, but the schedule is crazy. It is a lot of work. But it’s nothing compared to owning an olive oil and balsamic vinegar store I can tell you that,” said Frankie Muniz, co-owner of Outrageous Olive Oils & Vinegars in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Muniz and his fiance, Paige Price, were looking for something to do together and ended up stumbling upon an outrageous store.
“He jokingly said to me, ‘What about the olive oil and vinegar store in Old Town?” said Paige Price, co-owner of Outrageous Olive Oils & Vinegars.
“We weren’t, like, crazy enthusiasts of olive oil but we’ve become crazy enthusiasts of olive oil,” said Muniz.
The newly engaged couple ended up buying Outrageous Olive Oils & Vinegars, selling, you guessed it, artisanal olive oils and vinegars.
“We have the highest standard ultra premium extra virgin olive oil in the world,” said Muniz.
The store sells dozens of different flavor-infused olive oils and vinegars. The couple invites you to taste many of the flavor combos. Unlike the standard restaurant oilve oil and vinegar, no bread is needed to taste test.
“Garlic and black cherry,” said Price. “It’s an interesting dynamic. Sometimes they’re good and sometimes they’re awful.”
For this thespian turned sommelier, there’s no acting when it comes to their passion.
“I love telling people, helping people and teaching them the benefits and pairings. I don’t know, I have a lot of passion,” said Muniz.
