Donald Glover, who plays a young Lando Calrissian in Lucasfilm’s upcoming Han Solo Star Wars prequel/spinoff movie, won his first Emmy Awards almost back to back on Sunday.
Glover was honored for outstanding directing of a comedy series and actor for FX’s Atlanta.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Glover’s directing win makes history as he is the first black person to win the award for outstanding comedy direction.
The still-untitled Han Solo film, which is being directed by Ron Howard after losing original directors Christopher Miller and Phil Lord, is set to debut May 25, 2018.
