Ben Mendelsohn, who wears a white cape as the imposing Imperial Director Orson Krennic in the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, won his first Emmy Award Sunday night.
The Australian actor won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Danny Rayburn in Netflix’s Bloodline. (Not to be confused with the Star Wars original novel of the same name.) The role previously earned him an Emmy nomination, as well as a Golden Globe nomination.
Rogue One, which is set before Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope and tells the story of the sensitive Death Star plans and the Rebel team who goes after them, opens Dec. 16.
