PHOENIX – Batwoman is already breaking ground as the first live-action superhero series with a gay lead in Ruby Rose. Now, the show has cast a CW veteran in the main villain role for the pilot episode.
Rachel Skarsten, who most recently starred as Queen Elizabeth in The CW’s Reign, will play the role of Alice, Batwoman’s version of the Joker.
“Swinging unpredictably between maniacal and charming, Alice has made it her mission to undermine Gotham’s sense of security,” reported Deadline.
I am THRILLED to announce my next adventure. It is a very sweet homecoming for me, both to my favorite DC universe 🦇 & beloved @cw_network. Just call me Alice 🤡 https://t.co/LQFIIJv9yt
