The Nintendo Switch has accumulated an impressive slate of first- and third-party games big and small, but missing since its March release have been streaming entertainment apps. That changed Thursday, when Hulu became available for the hybrid console.
The Hulu app is free to download for the Switch, but requires a Hulu subscription to use. Limited free trials are available for new users.
Hulu’s core service costs $7.99 per month, but they also offer a plan with Live TV for $39.99 per month. Premium add-ons for HBO, Cinemax and Showtime are available.
With a Wi-Fi connection, you can stream on the Switch either docked to your TV or in its portable, handheld mode.
Nintendo has said subscription video on demand would come to the Switch, but it was focusing first on the console gaming experience.
Will Hulu add to your Switch experience, or do you think it should be all about the games?
