What if the ‘Firefly’ title sequence was like this?

Sci-Fi/Fantasy Television

The creative minds over at sci-fi superblog io9 have re-imagined the opening credits of the defunct Joss Whedon space Western Firefly — with awesome results.

Channeling bits of Doctor Who, Simon & Simon and The A-Team — and a whole lot of Knight Rider and Airwolf — the sequence comes screaming at you right of the ’80s and it’s a bit overlong. But it gets the job done, and makes us feel the absence of Serenity and her crew all the more keenly.
