A new trailer for the fifth season of Doctor Who, featuring new star Matt Smith, has gone live, and it reveals what many expected: that the Time Lord will return in time for Easter.

That’s not the only revelation, however — watch out at the end for the long-rumored reappearance of an old adversary, redesigned for the 21st century.

One thing is clear: With all the changes the show is undergoing after the departure of longtime star David Tennant, the sense of wonder and excitement in the BBC’s long-running sci-fi adventure vehicle hasn’t diminished. Not one bit!

It’s worth noting that while the U.S. airdate has not yet been announced, the recent trend has been toward next-day releases on BBC America.
