According to The Hollywood Reporter, Syfy has renewed both Stargate Universe and Sanctuary.
The article includes a transcript of a Q&A with SGU executive producer Robert Cooper, who notes the precarious course the show must chart as it radically changes the format of its forebears, Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis.
Cooper also addresses the show’s lack of alien species, body-swapping and sexual situations — all of which have granted SGU a fair amount of press since its Oct. 2 series premiere.
