Sci Fi Wire reports that a deal has been struck to reopen Star Trek: The Experience and keep it in Las Vegas. The attraction, which closed, at the Las Vegas Hilton last year, will occupy the Neonopolis Center when it reopens May 8 — the same day as J.J. Abrams’ blockbuster Star Trek is due to arrive in theaters. The move is part of the city’s efforts to revitalize and aging downtown area.
