Space shuttles boldly going into posterity

Sci-Fi/Fantasy

A mission poster commissioned to commemorate the final voyage of the Space Shuttle Endeavor — and the next-to-last shuttle flight ever — has been designed to evoke the spirit of the latest Star Trek movie:

What is possibly even cooler (if that were possible) is that the Space Shuttle Enterprise — a test vehicle named after the legendary fictional starship but never actually flown into space — will take to the skies atop a modified 747 once more as it is moved from its home at the National Air & Space Museum in Virginia to make room for one of the real orbiters.

It’s final destination is unclear, but at least the real-life Enterprise is going on one last adventure of its own as its spacegoing sister ships are retired.
