NBC Universal wants you to know that their new sci-fi news blog Sci Fi Wire is a rousing success. The standalone site is an outgrowth of a daily entertainment news site that used to be hosted on the Sci Fi Channel’s server at scifi.com/scifiwire but now has its own address — www.scifiwire.com — and has been redesigned as a blog. They also want you to take note of their spiffy new logo:

New York, NY – January 13, 2009 – SCI FI Wire, the premiere source for fast-breaking entertainment news related to science fiction, fantasy and horror, launched on January 5 and delivered nearly a million page views in its first week, SCI FI Wire’s best week ever. The popular daily entertainment news site also earned 133,000 in video streams and 274,000 unique users setting record highs. Rapid growth in traffic and ad sales propelled the relaunch SCI FI Wire as its own site, which includes a new logo and redesigned homepage.
This week on SC FI Wire users will be able to watch a clip from the new original dramedy series Warehouse 13, coming to the Channel this summer and starring Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly and Saul Rubinek and get upcoming news about ABC’s Lost and Cupid, NBC’s Heroes and Fox’s new television series Dollhouse.
