20TH CENTURY FOX/LUCASFILM
In addition to the hordes of popular talent already announced for Phoenix Comicon 2009 Jan. 23-25 at the Mesa Convention Center, here are some more names that were recently added to the list:
Richard LeParmentier — portrayed Admiral Motti in the original Star Wars movie. He was the Imperial officer above who believed more in the power of the Death Star than in the power of the Force. Darth Vader’s response left him all choked up.
Jo Chen — most well known to American comic readers as the cover artist of Runaways and Joss Whedon’s current Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 comic published by Dark Horse.
Sean “Cheeks” Galloway — an artist, penciller, character designer, conceptual designer, and toy designer for projects from the top comic publishers (Marvel, Dark Horse, DC, Image) to Disney, Hasbro, Sony, and Dreamworks productions. He did cover art for Teen Titans Go, pencilling on Venom and lead character design for the animated series The Spectacular Spider-Man.
Terry Moore — creator of the popular series Strangers in Paradise.
Tim Seeley — a returning Phoenix Comicon guest who is staff artist for Devil’s Due Publishing and the writer and creator of Hack/Slash.
Marjean Holden — a series regular on the Babylon 5 spin-off series Crusade, written by award winning writer/producer J. Michael Strazynski, and star of Paramount Pictures’ Code Red:The Rubicon Conspiracy, both of which can be seen from time to time on the Sci-Fi Channel.
