The first four episodes of Lucasfilm Animation’s weekly TV series Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be available on DVD March 24. Priced at $19.98, the release, subtitled “A Galaxy Divided,” will include “Ambush,” featuring a showdown between Jedi Master Yoda and the villainous Asajj Ventress, and the three-episode “Malevolence” story — “Rising Malevolence,” “Shadow of Malevolence” and “Destroy Malevolence.”
In the “Malevolence” episodes, Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano and Obi-Wan Kenobi lead a mission to find and destroy a massive warship that is under the command of General Grievous.
The adventure continues today on Cartoon Network with the all-new episode “Defenders of Peace,” which introduces the new recurring villain Lok Durd, a corpulent Neimoidian general voiced by George Takei (Star Trek’s Mr. Sulu). Durd commands the Separatist/Trade Federation forces that invade the peaceful planet on which Jedi Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano and Aalya Secura sough refuge in last week’s “Jedi Crash.”
