Americanized ‘Being Human’ premieres on Syfy

Sci-Fi/Fantasy Television

Being Human (Syfy)The roommate thing has been overdone on television, but the BBC’s Being Human revived it with a new spin on the classic concept: three supernatural beings — a vampire, a ghost and a werewolf — living together and trying to lead normal social lives.

This entertaining series can be seen in the U.S. on BBC America, but now an American (actually, Canadian) version of the British dramedy is premiering on Syfy Monday night.

This re-imagining stars Sam Witwer (Smallville and the video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed) as the vampire, Sam Huntington (Fanboys, Superman Returns) as the werewolf and Meaghan Rath as the ghost.
