Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello got the scoop that ABC Family has canceled the sci-fi family drama Kyle XY. The show starred former Valley resident Matt Dallas as a young man who wakes up in the forest outside Seattle with no memory of his life up to that point. He tries to unravel the mystery of his identity — and why he has no belly button. It also featured recurring appearances by Nicholas Lea (Krycek in The X-Files), Ally Sheedy and Teryl Rothery (Dr. Janet Fraiser in Stargate SG-1).
The show will finish out its third season of 10 episodes, which started airing Jan. 12, Ausiello reports.
Dallas, as former Tribune reporter Kelly Wilson reported in 2006, is a 2001 graduate of Paradise Valley High School who performed with Valley theater groups Scottsdale Community Players, Scottsdale Desert Stages Theatre, Valley Youth Theatre and Greasepaint Scottsdale Youtheatre.
I would like to know why they cancelled kyle xy. I was looking forward to the new season. Kyle was one of the best shows on tv. Why don’t they get rid of heros and keep kyle.
