Uprooted, Mad Max take top 2015 Nebula honors

The 2015 Nebula Awards were presented Saturday night in Chicago, with the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America honoring Naomi Novik’s Uprooted as best novel.

George Miller, Brendan McCarthy and Nick Lathouris’ script for Mad Max: Fury Road received the Ray Bradbury Award for Outstanding Dramatic Presentation, beating out Ex Machina, Inside Out, Jessica Jones season finale teleplay “AKA Smile,” The Martian and Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens.

The Andre Norton Award for Young Adult Science Fiction and Fantasy went to Fran Wilde’s Updraft.
