2 long-lost episodes of Doctor Who recovered

Doctor Who: The Underwater MenaceFans of classic Doctor Who have a new reason to rejoice: Two missing episodes from the British sci-fi series’ early years have turned up.

The announcement came Sunday as the recovered material was screened at the British Film Institute’s “Missing Believed Wiped” event in London, reports the Radio Times, which had advance notice of the find.

The episodes are the third part of the 1965 “Galaxy 4” serial starring original leading man William Hartnell and the second part of the 1967 Atlantis tale “The Underwater Menace” (pictured) starring his successor, Patrick Troughton.
