wolvieThe FBI has made an arrest in their pursuit of the mutant who uploaded a rough cut of X-Men Origins: Wolverine to the Web earlier this year.

According to CNET News, agents arrested 47-year-old Gilberto Sanchez without incident early this morning in the Bronx, N.Y. He faces up to three years in prison and at least $250,000 in fines.

The Harkins Cine Capri at Tempe Marketplace won the right to host the star-studded world premiere of the film in an online popularity contest that brought Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, Liev Schreiber and others to the East Valley. The film opened No. 1 at the box office and has grossed hundreds of millions of dollars, despite fears that the leak would cool audiences’ willingness to pay to see it in theaters.
