In an epic battle of Twilight vs. X-Men, Twilight came out on top.
Both Robert Pattinson and Nicholas Hoult were up for the role of Batman in the new movie by Warner Bros.
According to Deadline, Warner Bros had both young actors tape before ultimately choosing Pattinson to take on the role of the infamous Bruce Wayne.
The new film will be produced by Dylan Clark and directed by Matt Reeves.
Pattinson is most-known for his role in the Twilight Saga but he recently stared in Robert Eggers’ The Lighthouse and is set to act in an upcoming Christopher Nolan film.
A release date for The Batman has not been announced.
