Everyone knows that Tom Selleck was offered the role of Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark, but had to turn it down because he couldn’t get out of his contract on Magnum P.I. And unlike Pierce Brosnan, who could have been James Bond much sooner but for Remington Steele, there was no second chance for Tom.
But at long last a long-lost screen test of Selleck trying on the fedora has surfaced. Thank you, Internets!
Wouldn’t it be sheer poetry if he snagged a role in the upcoming fifth Indy movie we’re constantly being threatened with?
