PHOENIX – Is it time for Indiana Joan?

Steven Spielberg thinks so. He even suggested the name.

The director was talking to The Sun when the idea came up. He’s basically down to start a spin-off with a woman cracking the whip.

His only condition: “We’d have to change the name from Jones to Joan. And there would be nothing wrong with that,” he said.

Right now, Spielberg and Harrison Ford are working on a fifth installment in the Indiana Jones franchise that will come out next April.

“This will be Harrison Ford’s last Indiana Jones movie, I am pretty sure, but it will certainly continue after that,” he said.

It. Will. Continue.

It anyone can take a wildly popular franchise that has spanned decades and create an equally successful spin-off, it’s Spielberg.
