Apparently, Anakin Skywalker — the Chosen One, he who was born a slave and was ripped away from his mother at an early age before beginning a secret love affair with a royal senator, becoming a war hero and losing all his limbs at the hands of his mentor — had some issues.

In an upcoming issue of the journal Psychiatry Research, researchers make the case that the future Darth Vader displays patterns of instability and impulsivity in the latter “Star Wars” prequels, “Attack of the Clones” and “Revenge of the Sith,” that make him a textbook case of borderline personality disorder.

Also mentioned: issues of anger management and abandonment.

It’s amazing these shrinks were willing to go out on a limb with this. Who is it, Counselor Deanna “Obvious” Troi?
