Star Trek Super Bowl trailer

Never mind the Cardinals’ crushing defeat Sunday in Super Bowl XLIII. The good news is there are some great-looking new sci-fi flicks on the way!

Race to Witch MountainWe got a meaty new trailer for Star Trek, which reveals a devastating attack on Star Fleet Headquarters in San Francisco (pictured above). It also reveals more of the beefier USS Enterprise and the funky Romulan ship Narada. (You can read a full shot-by-shot analysis at TrekMovie.com.)

Other trailers of note: G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Land of the Lost, PIXAR’s Up! and DreamWorks’ Monsters vs. Aliens. And, we discovered Disney’s Race to Witch Mountain has Stormtroopers on their way to a “UFO convention” (pictured at left).
