
CBS Films and Lionsgate announced on Friday that the big-screen adaptation of the classic children’s horror anthology Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark will officially release in theaters Aug. 9, 2019.
The story follows a group of young teens who must solve the mystery surrounding sudden and macabre deaths in their small town.
Written and produced by Guillermo del Toro and directed by Norwegian filmmaker André Øvredal (Trollhunter/Troll Hunter), the movie stars Zoe Colletti, Michael Garza, Gabriel Rush, Austin Abrams, Dean Norris, Gil Bellows, Lorraine Toussaint, Austin Zajur, Natalie Ganzhorn.
