The Muppets, Sesame Street, puppet shows — all ruined thanks to Melissa McCarthy and her new movie The Happytime Murders.
If you were upset by the “mature” nature of the 2015 Muppets revival, just stop here. Jim Henson’s son, Brian, has taken things to a whole new level.
Let’s start you off with the official movie description:
No Sesame. All Street. The Happytime Murders is a filthy comedy set in the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles where puppets and humans coexist. Two clashing detectives with a shared secret, one human (Melissa McCarthy) and one puppet, are forced to work together again to solve the brutal murders of the former cast of a beloved classic puppet television show.
We’re almost ready to watch the trailer (below) but first you should know (and probably expect), there’s a lot of profanity and violence. There’s also drug references and muppet sex.
Still good?
Ok, go for it, but just know, you were warned!
