You Again, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and Catfish open this weekend. Which ones should you see?
You Again, starring Kristen Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver, Odette Yustman and Betty White is pretty much a bomb. Despite its all-star cast, the movie never takes off, never delivers any laughs. Read the full review here.
Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps is an ode to the U.S. financial crisis, as only Oliver Stone could do it. Michael Douglas leads an exceptional cast, including Shia LaBeouf, Carey Mulligan and Josh Brolin. In spite of some of the complicated financial jargon, the movie hits at the human element of all things money – the good and the oh so bad. Read the full review here.
Catfish has been making waves at film festivals and has set the web abuzz with a clever marketing campaign. It’s this campaign that does Catfish the most disservice. While the movie doesn’t live up to the hype it’s created for itself, it’s almost a good thing. It transcends expectations and takes audiences on a journey that examines the complex nature of human connection. A must see. Read the full review here.
