The new issue of Entertainment Weekly boldly goes deep into J.J. Abrams’ new vision for Star Trek, his prequel/reboot of the classic 1960s sci-fi TV franchise.

Head to the EW online article for a half-dozen other pics from the film, due in May 2009. Until now, images from the project have been kept tightly under wraps, except for this incomplete shot of the new Enterprise from the teaser trailer and these stylish posters from San Diego Comic-Con.
