Fanboys from Weinstein Co

Kyle Newman’s Star Wars-themed comedy Fanboys will debut Friday at five theaters across the Phoenix area, and three of them are right here in the East Valley: Harkins Chandler Fashion Center 20; Harkins Superstition Springs 25, Mesa; and Harkins Arizona Mills 24, Tempe.

Theatergoers who choose Arizona Mills will be greeted Friday night by Imperial stormtroopers, R2-D2 and other Star Wars characters from Phoenix’s 501st Garrison Titan Legion and Rebel Legions Alpha Base will be appearing in costume at the 5:30 and 8:25 p.m. showings.
