There’s a new 45-second teaser spot for Star Wars: Episode VIII — The Last Jedi!

“Darkness rises … and the light to meet it!”

Sound familiar?

The First Order’s Supreme Leader Snoke spoke similar words in the first teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens: “There has been an awakening. Have you felt it?” (That part was actually in the movie. This next part was not.) … “The dark side … and the light.”

I always loved how the Millennium Falcon represented the light side in that first glimpse of Episode VII. this latest The venerable vessel similarly has a prominent role in Episode VIII teaser, which otherwise is mostly just a remix of shots and dialogue we saw in the recent full trailer.

Will Snoke’s new riff on this theme of balance and eternal conflict make it into the movie when Episode VIII — The Last Jedi hits theaters Dec. 15?
