Words can’t convey how sad I am to see Chris finally leave the role. The First Avenger will have a special place in my heart. I wouldn’t have had it any other way, ’til the end of the line. #ThankYouChrisEvans pic.twitter.com/cAE5z1yk9T

#ThankYouChrisEvans for being to Captain America what Christopher Reeve was to Superman. There will never be anyone who approaches a role like this with as much care and love as you do, and I am forever grateful we got to witness it. We're with you til the end of the line, Cap. pic.twitter.com/KdXfom9j5c

Even fellow celebrities tweeted Evans on his role as Captain. Some may have been more upset than the fans. Can you guys who?
I’m not crying. I’m weeping. There’s a difference.

After the announcement, fans began to worry what this means for Cap in the upcoming Avengers film. Will he resign with dignity from his role and hang up his shield for good? Or will Thanos defeat him in the next battle?
No one can be sure. We will all have to wait and see when Avengers 4 hits theaters on May 3, 2019.
