PHOENIX – Reunions and sequels seem to be happening left and right recently, but this one has us psyched!
Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, who starred in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and the 1991 sequel, reunited for Entertainment Weekly’s Reunion Issue and shared some “excellent” news.

This third film has been rumored about for quite some time, but it seems the team is closer than ever to finally finding a financier for the film after 11 long years.
The title is Bill & Ted Face the Music and it would portray 50-something Bill and Ted married with kids and revisiting their past. At the end of the first film, Rufus (George Carlin) told the boys that they would write music that would turn the world into a utopia, and well. . .that never happened. It’s time to redeem themselves!
According to Reeves, Bill and Ted are given a mandate to step up and fulfill just that. Someone comes from the future visits them and says: “Not only do you have to save the world, you have to save everything…”
There’s already a director and a producer on board. Now, they just need the money to make this wonderful film happen!
And maybe (just maybe) we’ll even get a reenactment of the Metrocenter mall scene from the first movie. Although it looks pretty different than it did back then.
