Telltale Games to tackle Guardians of the Galaxy in 2017

Current D&D Campaign Adventures - Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden

Telltale Games Guardians of the Galaxy

Revealed officially during the Game Awards is Los Angeles on Thursday, Telltale Games will release a five-episode-long take on Guardians of the Galaxy next year.

According to the press release, the company will be focusing on the humor and sci-fi action seen in the Guardians across the comics and film. Telltale Games have created several highly successful point-and-click style story games adapted from comics such as The Walking Dead, Wolf Among Us, and, more recently, Batman. It is unknown at this time if the new title will focus on the core Guardians crew or completely different protagonists sharing the Marvel universe.

The game was originally outed before the announcement through an online document from the SAG-AFTRA website due to an ongoing strike. The title was leaked as part of a listing from the organization for companies to picket against during the Performance Matters protest.

The company confirmed that the series will be made available both digitally and as a season pass disc that will allow for downloads of subsequent episodes as they are released in 2017. No official date or quarter has been specified for when the game will hit the retail or digital markets.
