GameStop is offering some cool perks for customers who pre-order Star Trek Online through them.
Early adopters who reserve the MMORPG at $49.99 will launch their five-year mission with the GameStop exclusive Constitution-class starship, the same type of wessel seen in the original Star Trek TV series with Captain James T. Kirk at the conn. The limited-edition ship is upgradable and comes with “blue phasers and an extra engineering mod slot.”
In addition to the ship offered through GameStop, pre-order customers also receive access to an open beta (Jan. 12-26, 2010) and the Star Trek Online Head Start, which offers gamers an opportunity to begin playing the final product days before it releases.
