Capcom has unveiled pics of three robotic bosses from Mega Man 9, a retro-themed title that hits Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and Wii Ware next month.

To celebrate the impending release, one of Nintendo’s new offerings on the Virtual Console this week is Capcom’s original Mega Man. The series, which began on the venerable Nintendo Entertainment System, is famous for its inventive stage bosses and the weapons they leave behind to help you conquer their cohorts. You can tackle the stages in any order, making it one of the most replayable formats — then and now.

Follow the jump for a peek at three of the big baddies from Mega Man 9.
