Legend of Zelda

Last week Nintendo held its “media summit” where it announced its plans for the first half of this year. This included Super Mario Galaxy 2’s May 23 release date and Metroid: Other M launching on June 27. Noticeably absent was any mention of the Wii’s next game in the Legend of Zelda franchise.

Well, now executive vice president Cammie Dunaway has confirmed in an interview with Wired that a new Zelda title will be out in 2010, completing a trifecta of iconic Nintendo properties returning to the Wii.

No details about the fantasy adventure game were announced, but it shouldn’t be long before they start to emerge. Chances are it will be a Hyrule holiday season!
