One of the most mysterious titles heading into Nintendo’s Switch presentation last night, Super Mario Odyssey has now been revealed. The title sees Mario leave the Mushroom Kingdom to go on a new sandbox-style journey, a la Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy, but in a world more familiar to flesh-and-blood folk.

The 3-D game, with a new hat mechanic for the Peach-loving plumber, is coming to Nintendo Switch for the 2017 holiday season.

Nintendo Switch details revealed: March 3, $299.99; online pay-for-play; Splatoon 2 summer; Super Mario Odyssey holidays
