Brent Black — known to the Internet at large as “Brentalfloss” — has a game coming out for the Nintendo Switch.

Now, you’re probably thinking one or more of the following:

  • “I didn’t know Brentalfloss was a game designer!”
  • “I wondered what Brentalfloss was up to lately!”
  • “I miss his ‘with lyrics’ series and want to know when the next one is coming out”
  • “Who the heck is Brentalfloss and why should I care?”

For those interested in such things, Brentalfloss is a musician and Internet personality known for his “With Lyrics…” series, wherein he adds often-hilarious lyrics to video game theme tunes. He released three albums, several singles and numerous YouTube videos over his career. Lately, his focus has been on game design rather than creating songs and he has done some video game soundtrack work. Check him out here. His most recent album is Flossophy. I’ve listened to his work since the beginning of YouTube and became quite a fan, with many of my favorites coming from Flossophy and Bits of Me. He’s worth checking out if you like your video game music with a healthy dose of humor.

Anyhow, the game, coming out for Nintendo Switch soon , is essentially a party game called Use Your Words. Players caption various pictures and have numerous ways to play. The game was successfully funded on Kickstarter in 2016 and is also available for most phones and tablets. More information about the game can be found at its official website. Check out the trailer below and let us know if you’re planning to try this one out, whether you like Brentalfloss or what you think of the game if you’ve already played it on mobile.
