Nintendo Switch Online members can buy $100 voucher for 2 digital games

First-party Nintendo games don’t go on sale very often. They’re usually full price for a long time after a game hits the market.

Which makes the latest Nintendo Switch Online member exclusive very interesting, if you care about saving some cash.

At $60 each, Nintendo Switch games aren’t cheap. But Online members can now buy a pair of vouchers that will let them download two such titles for $100 total, saving you $20.

The offer is good through July 31 and applies to a particular set of games — but chances are you will be able to find two from your wish list easily enough:

  • Super Mario Maker 2
  • Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  • 1-2 Switch
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  • ARMS
  • Xenoblade Chronicles 2
  • Splatoon 2
  • Super Mario Odyssey
  • Bayonetta 2
  • Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido
  • Kirby Star Allies
  • Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
  • Mario Tennis Aces
  • Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee
  • Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu
  • Super Mario Party
  • New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
  • Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition
  • Yoshi’s Crafted World
  • Fire Emblem Warriors
  • Pokken Tournament DX
  • Octopath Traveler
  • Fitness Boxing
  • Dragon Quest Builders
  • Go Vacation

Be warned that some of the games in this assortment, such as Fitness Boxing, retail for only $50, so it’s best to do your research and skip them to instead go for the $60 games here so you get the most from the voucher savings.

Of course, the vouchers can only be used for digital games, so don’t go trying to redeem them for physical cartridge editions.

Other Nintendo Switch Online member exclusives include free access to the battle-royale, Online-only hit Tetris 99 and a set of NES-inspired Switch Joy-Con controllers for use with the 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System games that are also a member perk, as well as special in-game gear — shoes and a jersey — for Splatoon 2 (a game that is part of the voucher offer, should you need it).

You can try the Nintendo Switch Online service free for a week. One month costs $3.99, three months cost $7.99 and a year costs $19.99 — but the best value is a family plan that costs $34.99 a year and accommodates eight people with free Nintendo Accounts. If you want to play Switch game online (Splatoon 2Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, etc.), you’ll need to sign on with this service anyway.

There’s even a deal for Twitch Prime members that will let individual users get access for free for a limited time.
