Nintendo of America’s Twitter feed dropped a bomb Thursday night, announcing the launch of the Nintendo Power podcast.
Nintendo Power magazine, an official publication at first that was later licensed to an outside publisher, ran from 1988-2012. A spiritual successor, Nintendo Force, launched in 2013 and is still publishing with considerable Patreon support.
Former Nintendo Power editor Chris Slate returns as the host of the podcast’s first experimental episode, interviewing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild producer Eiji Aonuma and director Hidemaro Fujibayashi, Nintendo Minute YouTube personality Kit Ellis and Damon Baker, head of partner management for Nintendo’s publisher and developer relations.
Maybe one day the print edition will return, but until then we’ve got the Power in podcast form!
