wiismallIf you were one of the unlucky masses who paid 500 Wii Points, or $5, for the Wii Internet Channel only to later regret that choice when the application was made free for all — rejoice! If you haven’t already deduced from the pulsating blue light that signals a message in your inbox, there should be a nice little 500 point credit waiting for you in the Wii Shop Channel today.

Whatever will you do with those 500 points? Joystiq has some suggestions.

The Internet Channel uses a version of the Opera 9 browser to let Wii owners surf the World Wide Web. It was recently upgraded with Flash support.
