This is getting a little awkward.
After a less-than-impressive June for Nintendo Entertainment System releases for Nintendo Switch Online members, things are looking up.
Only two games are coming instead of the usual three this month:Donkey Kong 3 and Wrecking Crew, a largely forgotten Mario and Luigi outing, but a nice counterpoint to Super Mario Maker 2, I guess…
But, along with these titles, the whole 8-bit archive is getting a handy rewind feature to help you beat those games you maybe never conquered but totally told everyone you did. It’s hardly innovative, being a feature released with many classic game collections already — but it’s a welcome addition to the NES library anyway.
You can try the Nintendo Switch Online service free for a week. One month costs $3.99, three months cost $7.99 and a year costs $19.99 — but the best value is a family plan that costs $34.99 a year and accommodates eight people with free Nintendo Accounts. If you want to play Switch game online (Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, etc.), you’ll need to sign on with this service anyway.
