Lost Dutchman game meets Kickstarter goal

Springs Hosting

The local gaming company behind a board game based on one of Arizona’s signature legends has passed a key financial hurdle.

Crash Games’ effort on Kickstarter.com to fund The Lost Dutchman had earned more than $31,000 as of Sunday night, surpassing its $30,000 goal with at least 324 backers before the Monday deadline. The campaign was featured in the local media, including the East Valley Tribune and KNXV-TV (Channel 15), as well as Wired magazine’s GeekDad blog and Arizona geekblog Lightning Octopus.

The card-based game, originally designed with rectangular cards, has changed to hexagonal tiles with a unique (in my experience) notch that allows no-mess flipping.
